Adventure Science: Remote Installations Monitoring of Environmental Data
Rider Resources focuses on collecting and monitoring locations that are challenging to access, have limited historical data, and require overland or backcountry skills to monitor.

RRI installed and manages 5 surface water stream gauges in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.  Located on previously unmonitored reaches, these sites require hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing to access and monitor.

In addition, two irrigation remote streamflow monitoring sites are in operation in La Plata County, CO to assist water resources managers in the allocation of irrigation water to their customers.

RRI installed two meteorological stations to measure precipitation, snow depth, wind, and temperature for the State of Colorado at the Bonita Peak Superfund site near Silverton, Colorado.

Remote access and backcountry travel is necessary for the ongoing operation of these installations.

Geomorphic Reclamation Design:
RRI designed and managed the reclamation of previously disturbed land in SW Colorado.  This design recontoured the location to mimic pre-disturbance topography, drainage patterns and vegetative community; this was accomplished while accommodating for an additional 45,000 cubic yards of imported material.
